CLiC What's Hot and What's Not:: What Teens REALLY Read

As always, Karol Sacca gave a wonderful presentation.  The handout is useful to show to teens looking for a particular themed book.  Last years handout was used consistently and I am looking forward to handing out this years copy to our teens at the Fruita Branch.

Task #5 - Chilton Library

I, of course, looked up my own car which I thought might be a bit more difficult as it is a hybrid.  To my surprise, there was very detailed information available.  I went to repair, engine electrical, Hybrid High Voltage Electrical System.  I clicked on Precautions to see what would be listed there.  Lots of precautions that resulted in injury/death so I think I will continue to take my car to a reliable mechanic.

Task #4 - Downloading E-Books

I was interested in the Consumer Report article on ereaders and education.  The article considers the educational aspects of electronic books (ebooks) and what impact they may have on helping children to learn to read the Consumer Report article regarding ereaders and education. Some studies believe that ereaders may actually help a struggling reader.
For me, I still enjoy the feel of a book in my hands and as I have a beautiful collection of bookmarks, I am not considering buying an ereader, yet.  As I am planning a possible extended vacation at the end of next summer, I think an ereader purchase is in my future.
The first three steps are:
1.  Download and install Adobe Digital Edition
2.  Create an account and activate it
3.  Check device and remove from sleep mode, plug into computer and authorize device
